As part of Gee Graphite Ltd, a company founded in 1989, Laser Cutting has three decades of expertise in the profile cutting industry and an established network of trusted suppliers. We have a proud history of innovation that began as the first company in the UK to install a Water Jet Cutting machine. 25 years on our desire to innovate, expand and meet new market demands continues through our installation of the UK’s first 6kw ‘Power Cut Fibre’ Laser Cutting Machine.

Our investment in the latest 6kw Fibre Laser cutting technology and accompanying state-of-the-art CAD/CAM software now gives us and our customers a highly competitive advantage over other profile suppliers. 

Our laser cutting machine is enhanced by the new ‘Power Cut Fibre’ feature which doubles the thickness of aluminium and stainless steel that can be cut to 30mm, whilst maintaining extremely fine cutting quality.

General Fabrication

6kw Fibre Laser cuts with incredible speed and precision, especially on thin gauge materials such as 1-3mm stainless steel. It is therefore the obvious choice when producing detailed kits containing many different parts of the same material and thickness. Additionally, our industry focused CAD/CAM software is able to nest hundreds of parts together in the most efficient and cost effective way. As a result, material usage and component processing time is reduced dramatically.

      using our Virtek LaserQC scanning facility.

Laser cutting technology

Fibre Laser is the latest development in laser cutting. The laser beam is created by an active fibre and transmitted over a transport fibre to the machine cutting head. Fibre lasers are significantly smaller than CO2 lasers and generate twice as much power from the same amount of current. Fibre laser is at its best when cutting thin to medium-thick sheet metal. It also cuts non-ferrous metals (copper and brass).
